What to tell us
The more of this you have, the more useful the first conversation is. None of it is required.
- What you are hearing or seeing. Scratching, thumping, chittering, a smell, droppings, damage outside.
- What time of day. This is the single most useful detail. Dawn and late afternoon points one way; after dark points another.
- Where in the house. Which room it is over, or which wall, or where the damage is outside.
- How long it has been going on.
- Whether you have already tried anything, including traps or poison. If poison has been used, please say so, because it changes what we look for.
